Ca Sanna by Bataille Living is a beautiful south-facing villa in Jávea with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Montgó. Jessica tells us the story behind the home.

A wonderful older man opened the doors to me when I viewed this beautiful home, both him and his wife had the happiest faces. They were ready to move back to their home to Switzerland but they had the most magical time of their life in this amazing home, their paradise.

The house was beautifully arranged and kept, the garden simple but with the fig tree and the lemon tree the smell was the perfect combination of Mediterranean. When I go to Formentera these trees are everywhere and you recognize this immediately as the smell of the Mediterrenean nature. After Javea, Formentera is my second home and it greatly inspires my design.

At the front the house you could see a written sign with Casa Anna and we created the name Ca Sanna to continue the soul of where it came from. This means at Anna's house.

When we were visiting this home I first went to the roof top, there were two chairs, a perfect romantic terrace surrounded with plants and I immediately fell in love with the view. A stunning, vast and open feeling and you can have the Montgo and the sea at the same time! Magic.

That is why we looked to see if it was possible to create an other room with two terraces, one for the winter and one for the summer, or one for the morning and one for the sunset, as the sun sets behind the Montgo but rises with the sea.

This is a dream and a paradise, and with easy upkeep and compact ground, there are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, as much as possible to enjoy with friends.

The south facing aspect is a gift, as it provides all day sun. The inside and the outside areas are connected and you can enjoy the flat and accessible areas. With the two patios and the spacious outside areas it is easy to have 8 people staying comfortably, there are so many hidden places to enjoy moments in the sunshine.
